As we start to head into the autumn it is a good time to find your comforts. Who and what helps bring your peace. Is there a cozy way to gather with your people, either in a group or just one on one? Find those who remind you what is good in your life.
There is a Full Moon coming up. It may help illuminate what you need even more. Try this meditation a few days before and again on the day of the Full Moon. Use this meditation to explore a feeling of peace and comfort with some guides.
Take a few deep breaths and close your eyes. Find yourself standing alongside a tunnel dug into the earth. It is a large tunnel but in order to enter you will need to sit down and slide in as it is very steep.
The tunnel makes you feel curious and you have no fear about entering it. When you are ready, sit down and slide into the tunnel. It is a long slide and much of the tunnel is dark. As you begin to slow down you see light coming from the end of the tunnel. You stand up and walk towards the end of the tunnel.
You are now in the lower realm. How does this world look different from your physical reality? The lower realm is noisy with animals and you see lots of movement in the grass and trees around you. The animals here do not seem afraid of you.
Soon a deer walks out from the trees and comes only a foot away from you. Look into the deer’s eyes. You can communicate through eye contact. You may hear words and be able to “speak” back to the deer, or you may communicate through pictures or feelings.
The deer indicates that you should follow them. The deer leads you off towards the trees. A family of deer is waiting there. Look each in the eye as greeting. You can ask what they are there to teach you.
As a group they walk into the trees and you follow. You feel the comfort of being with this group. They enjoy your company and it is peaceful walking through the woods with them. There is no need to do anything or think about anything. Just walk and enjoy the group and environment.
After you relax with the deer in the woods, the deer that guided you turns towards you. The deer tells you that it is time for you to return and find your own tribe. The deer asks who you know that you can feel this kind of peace with. If you do not have people like that in your life, it is time to seek them out.
The message is clear and simple. Thank the deer. You have enjoyed this time with the deer and would like to bring more of this into your life. Walk back through the woods towards the tunnel.
As you enter the tunnel, you notice to the left that there is a ladder that leads back up. Climb the latter. It is a long climb but you are calm and peaceful as you ascend. When you exit the tunnel you can begin to return to your physical body.
Hear the sounds around you. Wiggle your fingers and toes, and when you are ready, open your eyes.
Write down some notes and/or pull three tarot or oracle cards for more insight.

At the moment, I’m not sure who would help bring me a sense of peace, however temporary, by being around them. I am always wondering, to a greater or lesser degree, how people are reacting to me, if I’m acting correctly to them, and this is a time when the wondering is stronger. Experiences have taught me that things can change suddenly with people. Certainly, I lost many friends just by the fact that I had to move to another city when my father took another job. Within my family, we have a tendency to shun each other for at least a while when we get overly angry with each other. My older sister wouldn’t talk to anyone else in the family the last 2.5 years of her life, and nearly 30 years later, I still don’t quite know why. For me, it is often easier to be around little children and animals. For better or worse, they hold nothing back about what they’re thinking and so one always knows exactly where one stands with them, So I might prefer to remain with the deer, although it appears that they are unwilling to let me do that. For now, I will remain with the rabbits. who always register their silent, but certain, approval or disapproval of me.
